Looking for something to do this weekend? Check out Jana Jae’s Fiddle Camp in Grove, OK, where I’ll be teaching. This is what they have to say — “Nationally renowned fiddler/violinist Jana Jae is joined by 20 stellar instructors for a fabulous weekend of sharing music on Grand Lake in Grove OK. Aug. 30, 31 & Sept. 1 this year, it’s always held Labor Day Weekend, all ages, all levels, and all acoustic instruments welcome! This is fun progress, made easy for you!
Not just for fiddles, guitar, mandolin, viola, cello, bass, all welcome. Guitarists can study with two renowned coaches all weekend, and there are fun mini-workshops on Saturday in Fiddle Harmonies, Mandolin, Guitar, and Spoons! Everyone has a chance to explore new ideas and enjoy inspirational performances from master teachers and champion fiddlers.
Small groups are formed by age, ability, and interest – if you read or if you just play by ear, if you want bowing advice, if you want to learn to improvise, we have just the right group for you!
Many fiddle champs and professional musicians have been encouraged and mentored right here in beautiful northeast Oklahoma!
